Michael Duchowny, M.D., is a board-certified pediatric neurologist working at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Dr. Duchowny is a Cornell University graduate and attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He interned in pediatrics at the University of Chicago and completed his pediatric residency training at Montefiore Hospital, Albert Einstein College of Medicine. After serving as a Research Associate at the National Institutes of Health, Dr. Duchowny completed neurology training at the Harvard Longwood program, Boston, MA, and was an Assistant Clinical Professor at Harvard Medical School. He is presently a Clinical Professor in Neurology and Pediatrics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and a Clinical Professor of Neuroscience at the FIU Wertheim College of Medicine.
Dr. Duchowny is board-certified in three specialties: Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology, Pediatrics, and Clinical Neurophysiology. He is the director of the ACGME-approved Nicklaus Children's Hospital - Cleveland Clinic Florida fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology and is Emeritus Director of the Comprehensive Epilepsy Program, which he founded. Dr. Duchowny’s interests include teaching, clinical care and medical research. He lectures widely and is active in research focused on developmental aspects of epilepsy including brain malformations, mapping brain function and the management of chronic epilepsy. Dr. Duchowny has authored over 150 articles in refereed medical journals, 50 book chapters and 6 books and monographs.
